Twinkies!

You know you're definitely a "grandmother" when
you go on vacation and can't wait to buy
your grand daughters matching T-shirts like yours.
Yes, Lorelei has one, too. I just didn't have a picture of her wearing it.

Revival this week

I know it's a little late to invite everyone, but we are having our spring revival at church this week. So far the services have been very good. Bro. Michael Dollar is a wonderful, spirit filled man of God. I could sit and listen to him all night. If you've never heard him preach, you are missing out on one of God's gifts to us. He is truly an old time preacher man even though he is only 30 something, but , hey, John the Baptist was only 30ish when he was beheaded and our Lord and Savior was 33 1/2  when he died for the whole world.
I know there aren't a lot of viewers to this blog spot, but I did want to let you know and invite everyone to come.  We also have church service every Sunday morning @ 10:00am for Sunday School and 11:00am for Worship service; 5:00pm on 1st and 3rd Sunday nights:)
I love my church and wouldn't want to go anywhere else, and I would also love to share it with my family that I love, too.

Earthquakes in divers places

Matthew 24:7-8
"For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places."
"All these are the beginning of sorrows."
I have counted these 18 major earthquakes over the magnitude of 6.0 since January 1, 2010.
I know technology is out there to keep us more aware of world events, but these are major earthquakes in major places. I didn't even count the many that occurred under 6.0.

"The Right of Passage"

Saturday night was the New Hope High School's Junior/Senior Prom. Kellye Beth opted not to attend this year unless a 'certain' young man asked her. Two of our Juniors from Church attended and here are their pictures.
Ondrea Johnson has been one of Kellye Beth's friend since grade school. I love this yellow dress on her. She looks beautiful- as usual.

Dustin Whitaker is like part of our family. His mom and dad are two of our closest friends. He looks very handsome in his tux.
Dustin and Ondrea had been going steady for quite some time, but broke up a few days before prom. Fortunately, they both had dates for the prom.
This is Dustin and Lauren all ready for the prom.
I hope they all had a great night.
Kellye said she would probably go next year since she'll be a Senior and wouldn't want to miss it. We'll see.

Doctors, doctors, doctors

How many doctors in one week is enough?
On Tuesday, I had to go see Dr. Jack to talk to him about my blood test results I had done a couple of weeks ago. Everything was ok except for my cholesterol : (  It was higher than he thought it should be, so he wants me to try some meds for a month to see what happens.
Then, around 9:30, Tuesday night, Rickey and I decided  to take Kellye Beth to the 'ER' at Crestwood to see what's going on with her stomach. She had stomach cramps in different spots since Sunday evening. It started up high around her gall bladder and moved till it settled in the lower abdomen. We couldn't figure it out. She didn't have a fever, but started to throwing up on Tuesday. All day. When we got to the ER, they took blood and found out because of her white blood cell count that she had an infection somewhere.
Dr. Poole ordered a CT scan of her abdomen and discovered that her appendix was enlarged and swollen.
Dr. Todd Foreman was called in the next morning to remove it. She's slowly getting better, but we want her to take it easy.
Then, on Wednesday, Rickey had to go see a new doctor concerning his liver and disgestive system.
He's ok, but has to have test later this month.
Finally, on Friday, I took LilyAnn to see Dr. Horton. She had been sickly since Saturday and was coughing a lot at night waking her up. The doc said she was getting over a cold and that her cough would be the last thing to go away. He pretended he was looking for "Elmo" and "Barney" in her ears to check for any infections and they were clear. Lily still has not got over the idea that Elmo and Barney might be in her ears.

I know there's a lot of sick people out there besides my family.
I hope you all get well soon!
